Each year, the Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC) provides several awards for outstanding projects that improve the downtown Ocean City area. We are honored to have been recognized for our work completed at 407 St. Louis Avenue in Ocean City with an award of Façade Improvement Project!
On May 5th, Colleen Sarich, our Commercial Railing Production and Marketing Manager Sarah Ditto attended the award ceremony dinner in downtown Ocean City, Maryland. During the ceremony, OCDC highlighted projects from both 2020 and 2021, as the previous year’s event was postponed due to COVID-19. Winners were awarded plaques and attendees learned more about the past and upcoming yearly activities.

For this particular project, we removed the old and worn wooden decking and utilized the existing joist framework. We then installed approximately 845 sq. ft. of Trex Enhance Naturals decking in the lovely Foggy Wharf — a modern neutral color that blends salty grey hues with shades of dark silver. White vinyl Washington-style railings replace the old wooden railings, and the front 6 x 6 support posts were replaced and wrapped in white vinyl fascia.
The new look completely transforms the condo building and will last for decades thanks to the high-performance composite material known for its durability. The new decking and stairs won’t rot, warp or splinter, unlike wood, and it has a protective outer shell that resists fading and staining.

Last year, Fisher Architecture LLC was awarded the OCDC New Construction Award for the Cambria Hotel at Cropper’s Landing on the site of the former Cropper concrete plant just north of the Route 50 Bridge. Fence & Deck Connection was subcontracted to supply and install all the glass panel balcony and pool railings, as well as the TimberTech pool decking. Take a look at the completed project below!
