Homeowners in Ellicott City, Maryland contacted Fence & Deck Connection looking for a bit of an outdoor makeover. Their existing wood deck was outdated and weathered, and did not offer the outdoor experience the home was designed to have. Jeff Gottleib one of Fence & Deck Connection’s experienced Sales Consultants worked with our clients to transform their outdoor space into one with composite materials that requires far less maintenance and allows for maximum enjoyment! Composite decking is resistant to warping, rotting, staining, or fading. Plus, its quality low-maintenance material makes it easy to clean with just soap and water, and does not require sanding or painting.
Before:
We first demoed and hauled away the existing wood deck, before constructing a new 428 sq. ft. pressure treated wood frame. This spacious new deck was installed using Trex Enhance composite decking in the Rocky Harbor color. A contemporary changing neutral, Rocky Harbor adds sandy undertones to a rustic slate grey, featuring a low-maintenance, wood-like grain pattern. This hue belongs to Trex’s Enhance collection, which offers an authentic wood-grain appearance with the durability of composite and the affordability of wood. Enhance decking boards are scalloped, making them as lightweight as lumber—without the extra work. This long-lasting decking requires little upkeep and comes in seven colors and Rocky Harbor is one of our in stock colors now on sale this September!
White vinyl Washington-style railing encloses the new space, complete with round black aluminum balusters. All sides go the deck, along the new 4′ wide staircase were trimmed with white vinyl fascia.
