We first removed and hauled away the existing wood structure, before rebuilding a new free-standing construction with high-quality pressure treated wood. The new space required 342 sq. ft. of TimberTech Edge Prime+ decking in Sea Salt Gray: a 12′ x 16′ upper deck, 10 x 13′ lower deck, and a 4′ x 5′ landing. Two sets of 4′ wide steps lead from the ground to the lower deck, and the lower deck to the upper deck. White Washington-style railing with black aluminum balusters encloses the multi-level spaces and complements the gray decking nicely. Horizontal Carolina skirting was placed between the upper and lower decks. This stylish feature is a modern take on traditional lattice and provides a modern, clean backdrop to the continuing space. White vinyl textured fascia wrapping the deck’s entire perimeter is the finishing touch to this beautiful project.
