If you live in a community with an HOA, you might not even have the option! Many townhome owners require the installation of a new or replacement deck based on HOA regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our knowledgeable Project Consultants are able to work with homeowners to design a deck that fits within those rules and regulations, while adding design elements and accessories that personalize the outdoor space. Steve Nehus worked with our clients in Lutherville-Timonium to recreate their townhome deck using composite materials instead of wood \u2014 a modern and more maintenance-free option!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Before: Wood Deck <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1005\" height=\"769\" src=\"https:\/\/fenceanddeckconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/wood-deck-in-lutherville-timonium.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1578\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fenceanddeckconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/wood-deck-in-lutherville-timonium.png 1005w, https:\/\/www.fenceanddeckconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/wood-deck-in-lutherville-timonium-300x230.png 300w, https:\/\/www.fenceanddeckconnection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/wood-deck-in-lutherville-timonium-768x588.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1005px) 100vw, 1005px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We first removed and hauled away the existing wood deck, before constructing a new 20&#8242; x 16&#8242; free-standing deck with a 4&#8242; x 4&#8242; landing. We then installed TimberTech decking using hidden fasteners in the lovely Antique Leather hue. A Trex Vintage Lantern feature board accents the perimeter of the deck, for a sophisticated look. Paired together, the deck boards offer a bold, yet inviting aesthetic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complementing the deck&#8217;s color combination, we installed Trex Vintage Lantern railings with matching posts and balusters. For a clean, finished look, the deck was also wrapped with Trex Vintage Lantern fascia. Steps to have Antique Leather tread with Vintage Lantern riser. 15 steps lead down to the backyard, with a gate at the top for safety. Steps were installed with Antique Leather, accented by Vintage Lantern risers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">After: Dark Roast TimberTech Deck <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure
