While their current deck&#8217;s framing was in good condition, the wood decking and railing was starting to show its age. In particular, the decking boards were starting to warp and splinter, making the surface not very barefoot friendly. We then were able to install TimberTech Reserve decking using hidden fasteners in the Dark Roast color. Like the previous deck layout, we installed a double seam board that runs down the center of the deck. With a duo-tone matte finish, Dark Roast boards provide a beautiful blend of natural, traditional beauty with an elegant modern twist. Unlike other deck boards in the TimberTech collection, Dark Roast composite decking has been produced with an antique brushed finish bringing out a deeper, more visible grain \u2014 ideal for homeowners searching for a deck board that offers an organic appearance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also installed white vinyl Washington-style railings with black round aluminum balusters. Two sets of 4&#8242; wide steps were installed on either side of the deck, and the fascia of the deck and sides of steps were trimmed with white PVC.
