Redecking involves removing your railings, decking, and stairs but keeping the existing structure\/frame. New decking, fascia, railings, and stairs are installed and you end up with a brand-new deck that is supported by your original frame! Customers in Odenton wanted to use their existing framework, as long as it was safe and structurally sound, but make the switch from wood decking to composite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project Consultant Brian Hannon helped our clients in Anne Arundel County redeck their small outdoor space adjacent to their screened porch. Before replacing the deck boards, we inspected the framework to make sure it was structurally sound for a redecking project. Then, we installed TimberTech Reserve decking in the Dark Roast color, including a matching feature board that &#8220;picture frames&#8221; the deck. Inspired by reclaimed wood, these boards feature a rough wire-brushed, low-gloss finish that highlights the classic cathedral wood grain pattern. In addition, they offer superior scratch resistance and feature Mold Guard&#x2122; Technology that protects the plank from the elements and everyday accidents endured by most decks. They have also been third party tested and proven to retain color and offer excellent fade resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>White TimberTech Premier railing with black round aluminum balusters replaces the splitting wood railing. Made from a mix of recycled wood and plastic fibers, TimberTech composite railing boasts superior durability to wood, while being extremely low maintenance. With the most customization options, from traditional milled-wood-inspired looks to sleek, contemporary designs, mixing and matching components is a breeze.
