Many homeowners reach out to Fence & Deck Connection with the goal of a completing a redecking project instead of an entire new build. However, a redecking project, which typically involves replacing the surface layer of a deck while keeping the underlying structure intact, may evolve into a complete rebuild for various reasons. One common factor is the discovery of extensive structural damage during the redecking process. If the existing framework is found to be compromised by rot, termite infestation, or other structural issues, it becomes necessary to address these underlying problems to ensure the safety and longevity of the deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For our customers in Annapolis, this happened to be the case. With the help of Project Consultant Joel Lewis, the project turned out beautifully and our customers can rest easy knowing their deck is structurally sound and will last for decades to come! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We first removed and hauled away 636 sq. ft. of existing decking, before constructing a new pressure treated wood frame. Instead of wood decking, our customers upgraded to Trex Enhance composite decking in the Rocky Harbor hue. Trex Rocky Harbor decking is a popular choice for outdoor spaces, known for its distinct appearance and durable composition. The Rocky Harbor color is characterized by a rich, earthy tone that mimics the natural beauty of aged wood, providing a warm and inviting aesthetic to decks. A matching seam board and box step gives the deck a high end appearance, as well as white fascia that wraps the deck’s perimeter. Homeowners wanted to replicate the bench on the original deck, which Fence & Deck Connection is proud to offer this custom seating accessory. The new bench provides 16 feet of seating and matches the deck with Rocky Harbor composite decking and white trim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
