Pressure-treated wood is wood that has been infused with chemical preservatives to protect the wood from rot and insects. The wood is placed in a depressurized holding tank that removes the air and replaces it with a preservative. As long as a homeowner spends time maintaining the deck &#8211; cleaning, sanding, staining and or painting &#8211; the deck should last for several years! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>53&#8242; feet of pressure treated wood fascia wraps the deck, and a 12&#8242; seam board gives an appealing visual on the large open space. A popular decking trend, the new railing was installed using pressure treated wood railing with black aluminum balusters.
