Not only are they economical, but they can last up to 15 years or so with the proper maintenance. While that sounds like a solid option, the key is&nbsp;<em>keeping up<\/em>&nbsp;with that maintenance. Unlike composite decking, pressure treated wood can mold, rot, and warp, and must be cleaned and power-washed regularly. Plus, if you want a deck that fits naturally with the exterior of your home, stains or paint, and a sealant must be reapplied as the sun bleaches the wood over time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homeowners in Annapolis, Maryland reached out to Fence &amp; Deck Connection looking to upgrade their old wood decking to composite material that will last decades with far less required maintenance. The new deck was installed using TimberTech Reserve decking in the Driftwood hue. Driftwood is a lovely, warmer grey tone that has depth and character. A Driftwood feature and seam board adds visual interest to the deck and offers a cleaner, polished look. A TimberTech Dark Roast seam and feature board adds visual interest and a balanced contrast on the deck&#8217;s surface. With a duo-tone matte finish, Dark Roast boards provide a beautiful blend of natural, traditional beauty with an elegant modern twist.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>White vinyl Washington-style railing with black aluminum black balusters safely enclose the large gathering space.
