We\u2019re excited to share the details of a recent deck project that showcases craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and accessibility for homeowners in Towson, Maryland. Project Consultant Steve Nehus helped our clients transform their aging wood deck with broken vinyl railings into a sturdy, long-lasting structure using Trex decking. The project began with the removal of the existing deck, making way for a fresh start. Our team of expert craftsman carefully demoed the old structure to prepare the site for a brand-new free-standing structure that supports 116 sq’ ft’ of Trex Select decking in the Saddle color option. A great budget-friendly composite decking option, Trex Saddle is a warm, earthy tone that blends beautifully with natural surroundings. This composite decking offers the look of real wood with the durability and low-maintenance benefits of modern materials. We used hidden fasteners to create a clean, seamless look across the entire deck surface.<\/p>\n

To enhance both safety and style, the deck features white Lincoln-style railings with black aluminum balusters, topped with a matching Saddle-colored cap rail. This combination not only provides structural integrity, but also adds an elegant, finished appearance. The deck was then wrapped in white PVC fascia, complete with mitered corners and Cortex plugs for a polished, professional finish. These subtle details help protect the deck from moisture.\u00a0Accessibility was a key component of this build. The project included matching steps and a ramp to grade, ensuring smooth and safe access for everyone.<\/p>\n
