Makeover Monday: Two Decks in Jessup, Maryland

If you’ve been following us on Facebook and Instagram, you might notice that we feature a recent project every Monday afternoon for “#MakeoverMonday.” We’re excited to now share these transformation snippets on our blog each week as well! If you’d like to follow along each week, make sure you subscribe to our blog, so you’ll never miss a fence or deck makeover.

BEFORE

This week, we’re showcasing a double porch project in Jessup, Maryland led by our knowledgeable Project Consultant, Jake Wolod. We removed the existing front and rear concrete patios and replaced them with a total of 135 sq. ft. of TimberTech AZEK Vintage Mahogany decking. The new front porch was designed with narrow 3.5″ boards with white vinyl Washington-style railing and black aluminum spindles. The space is wrapped with white vinyl fascia and three stairs lead down to the sidewalk.

The new back deck is a free standing deck designed with matching TimberTech Azek Vintage Mahogany deck boards. For this space, however, we used multi-width decking alternating narrow and standard width alternating with a wide width board running down the center. White vinyl Lincoln-style railing with black spindles secure the area. A mahogany rail cap offers a nice spot for drinks or plans to rest.
