My only minor complaint was the post completion clean up. We found a couple of screws and a handful of scrap cut offs. Will came back with the magnetic roller which I appreciated. Overall a 9.5/10 on clean up. We are very happy and satisfied with our experience.

We had a great experience using Fence & Deck Connection for our fence removal & replacement project. Ya’ll were very accommodating with changes we needed to make to the original plan following the initial walkthrough. We were very impressed with the quality of the final product, and also the speed – as were our neighbors. During the construction process one of our neighbors actually walked over to get information for a fence project of his own. The crew that did the construction even accommodated our slightly weird request with care – we wanted to keep some of the old fencing for use in our chicken coop later, and they left them nicely in a pile off to the side of the yard. Steve was great in his follow up inspection as well. Would happily recommend to anyone needing a fence project completed.

My experience with Fence and Deck Connection was the best of the best. I began my journey to having my old deck replaced with a new one in December 2024. I sought multiple estimates and was met with varying prices and sales persons who were less than satisfactory. Not with Fence and Deck Connection. The sales consultant Chad Costello was respectful, knowledgeable and patient with me as I had multiple questions and a unique tear down and build. He generously walked me through options and always was willing to answer questions. I received a quote that I was happy with and proceeded along for HOA and county permit approvals. I was met with some hurdles with the county and Chad assisted as much as he could along the way.   In the interim, waiting for the deck, I decided to seek out an estimate for a fence. Chad once again came out and answered every single one of my questions. He ended up having to come out twice as we had to get a neighbor on board because of property line concerns. Chad provided every option to both of us and was always friendly and knowledgeable. He again assisted in answering questions that came up from my neighbor and I, even after proceeding with the planned project and his part was done. Once everything was approved for both the deck and fence, communications continued with the project managers for the builds.   Both Steve and Murray were great with communication when they came on site and through multiple emails. Our screened porch was being invaded by swarms of stink bugs every year. Their solution involved replacing the existing screens with heavier duty ones and adding fascia boards to seal gaps at the ends of the flooring boards. We had our old wooden fence replaced by PVC in late April over two days. The new “cypress” color PVC fencing blends into the environment unlike a traditional white PVC fence. My experience with Fence & Deck Connection from start to finish was absolutely amazing!! I have never worked with a company that was so communicative throughout the entire process, which made the experience so easy and gave me peace of mind that I was in very good hands. My deck is gorgeous!!

From beginning to end our deck project was beyond our expectations. Steve, our Salesperson, was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and provided information and answers to all our questions. Everything he stated and provided was exact and correct. Once the contract was signed Murray, our project manager, contacted us. He explained the first steps to be done – permit, ordering of materials etc. He next contacted us with a start date, completion date (3.5 days but finished in 3 YEAH!), delivery of materials and dumpster etc. Two days before start date he phoned to remind us of start date. On start date materials were delivered and the driver was very friendly and knowledgeable (we don’t remember his name). Teo and his crew of 2 showed up 10 minutes early and went right to work. Murray stopped by later in the morning to ensure all was well. For the 3 days neither of us saw any of the 3 take a break (lunch of course). They were good workers. When we asked Teo a question we got an immediate answer. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left the deck area clean and safe. Two days later Murray visited, in the rain, and made a final inspection. Steven, Murray, Teo and the 2 workers were professional from start to finish. The owner(s) of Fence and Deck should be very proud of these 5 employees. Many companies can build a deck but it’s the people (employees) who matter. They represent you well! Oh, and we love our new deck!

I can’t say enough positive about my experience with Fence and Deck Connection in my recent backyard fence replacement. It took some time to get the approvals from my homeowners association, but once I worked through those details Brian and his team were very professional and responsive about the project. They very quietly arranged for all of the pre-work including scheduling someone to mark any underground utilities, marking the placement for the gates, and checking for any other pre-construction issues. Then in one day’s time they came in and demolished the old, dilapidated, treated wood fence and replace it with a beautiful new PVC privacy fence. They were fast, professional, polite, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves when the job was finished. I am so in love with my new backyard fence!

The installation supervisor (Francisco) came out to review the placement specifically, and after installation came back to inspect it for completion. Because of ground freeze causing the surface under gate opening to swell, he and the crew came back to trim bottom of gate and make adjustments to the opening space (without an extra charge). My perfect new fence! I am so happy I hired Fence & Deck Connection to do my fence. The salesman Tracy Ours, was not pushy and did not try to talk me into a fence that I was not interested in. No time was wasted like a lot of salesmen do to get a higher dollar amount sale. I told him what I was interested in and he showed me what they had. I made my selection and he went in the yard and took measurements. He was very kind and patient in answering my questions. Next, our Production Manager Bob, contacted me to let me know he would be out to look at the job sight for any final adjustments. A few days later the supervisor and crew came out to install my fence. I bought an aluminum fence with a straight top and it is perfectly even and straight around the entire area, and very solid and sturdy. I got my bill AFTER the supervisor came out to inspect how the install was done and to pass it for payment. I wanted to pay for my fence with my NEW credit card and the charge would not go through for several days. I contacted Heather in Accounting and they were very understanding and understood the process of having to wait 5 more days for payment. Paid my bill 5 days later. From the first time I met with Chris and gave him my vision of what I wanted, there was one obstacle in my yard, but Chris came up with a solution to work around that. So happy with my deck reconstruction. While my deck was only 10 years old, it looked so much older as it was constructed using pressure treated wood, and after rehabbing it twice it looked awful. I now have TimberTech decking and stairs, black aluminum, and wood rails that will eventually be stained. The carpentry work on the rails and supports is first class and I love the combination of wood and composite. Thanks again to Fence & Deck Connection and my sales rep Joel Lewis for coming up with a new deck that now enhances my home instead of detracting from it.

I know that Fence and Deck Connection is a reliable and professional company because of my experience with a fence replacement some sixteen years ago. At that time, there were no permits needed as the new fencing used existing posts. With the current totally new vinyl fencing, the company handled all of the permitting processes required by the city of Annapolis and kept me up-to-date with the progress. Sales Representative Brian Hannon was very good at helping and making suggestions for the new fencing plan. The only hiccup in that process was partially my fault as I changed my mind after the fact as to the swing of the gate to agree with Mr. Hannon’s original suggestion. The “hiccup” was that the change was not made on the original rendering of the plan and the installation crew arrived with a plan for the gate to swing the way I had, at first, requested. Fortunately, I was at home and saw that the crew had a drawing showing the wrong swing and was able to correct the error. Project Manager William Lighthouse was extremely helpful and patient with this talky old man in giving precise information as to the process in his several visits all the way through the final inspection. I cannot thank him enough. The installation crew went above and beyond in doing an excellent job leading to a beautiful fence. They worked hard in dealing with the roots of a large oak right next to the fence. All were very friendly and helpful in response to my questions. They were professional in all ways. I will continue to highly recommend Fence and Deck Connection to all of my friends and neighbors.

I can truly say that it has been a wonderful experience working with the FDC Team from the very beginning. With us moving from California to Maryland, the whole team was very accommodating and ensured all our questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner. I also didn’t physically see the home until more recently, so things needed to change to meet our vision and of course you and the team made it possible. At first, I was informed that I was outside of the service area, however an exception was made and I’m glad it did. Above all, I appreciate the open and rapid communication between Chris, Jimmy, and Francisco. This is the first time we’ve ever made the investment to build a deck, and we absolutely love it. The fence is exactly what we need to maintain our dogs, and we appreciate accommodating the spacing for the little one. I don’t think there’s much room for improvement when execution was close to flawless. My wife & I were very happy with the outcome of this project. Steve & Bill were very attentive in responding to any questions I had & the crew that came out are PROS at what they do. The job was done in ONE day for a 354 square foot deck. We had one request for it to be done before our daughters birthday & FDC made it happen for us. We’ve been on our deck every day since it’s been installed and everyone that’s came over is amazed at the work. Great team all around!

Working with you (Steve Nehus) has truly been a wonderful experience. From the first day we met, you were very honest and down to earth. I felt no sales pressure whatsoever. You were able to answer all my questions and did not push anything on me. I really felt at ease knowing that you were just there trying to represent your company and your products and not pressuring me into anything. Your communication was also fantastic. Every phone call was answered and every email was answered in a timely manner. When it came time to sign the contract, you were extremely helpful in answering all my questions and most importantly, you were very honest and true to your word. Between the time of contract signing and when the project was supposed to begin, which was a couple of months, your communication was very open and you made sure to keep me in the loop. When it came time to meet with Mike, my Production Manager, he was also an extremely nice and down to earth guy. I could not have asked for a better person to work with. Mike listened to all my concerns and made sure that I was taken care of. What set him apart was actually feeling that he had my best interest at heart. After the installation was complete and we did the final walkthrough, we identified some issues both with the materials and the installation. Not once did Mike try to argue his way out of the issues. No matter how small, he took note of them and promised to address them. And that was what really set him apart; his kept promises. He addressed every concern I had and made sure that I was happy with the final result. Fence and Deck Connection is a company I wish every company would aspire to be. At the end of the day, customer satisfaction is your number one priority and it definitely shows. What makes a great company is the people that make up that company, and both you (Steve) and Mike were second to none.
