Makeover Monday: Gorgeous TimberTech Deck in Ellicott City

It’s amazing how an updated deck can completely transform your outdoor space and make your home look renewed and refreshed. With the design help of Fence & Deck Connection Project Consultant Jeff Gottleib, homeowners in Ellicott City, Maryland invested in a gorgeous composite deck that complements the look of their home, and will last for many years to come!

Before:

We first removed and hauled away the existing wooden deck. Then, we constructed a new 350 sq. ft. deck using TimberTech Reserve decking in the Driftwood hue using hidden fasteners. Taking on the appearance of an aging seaside boardwalk, this lighter grey calls to mind natural wood decks and docks from the past. A matching seam board runs down the center of the deck, and white vinyl railing with black aluminum balusters accent the beautiful grey tones. Two 4 x 4′ landings break up a set of 4′ wide steps. Last but not least, white vinyl fascia trims deck, step sides, and landings.
