Makeover Monday: New TimberTech Deck in Anne Arundel County

Homeowners throughout Anne Arundel County have been choosing TimberTech decking for their new decks due to its winning combination of durability, low maintenance requirements, and aesthetic versatility. TimberTech’s composite materials resist rot, insects, and decay, ensuring a long-lasting deck that demands minimal upkeep. The wide range of colors and styles allows homeowners to achieve the desired look without sacrificing the benefits of composite decking. Additionally, TimberTech’s environmentally friendly approach, innovative features, and weather-resistant properties contribute to its appeal, providing a reliable and visually appealing outdoor space that stands the test of time.

Project Consultant Jake Wolod helped Arnold, Maryland homeowners design a brand new deck for their lower floor walk out using TimberTech decking in one of our popular in stock colors!

Before:

We constructed a pressure treated wood frame to support 292 sq. ft. of TimberTech Edge Prime+ decking in the Dark Cocoa hue using hidden fasteners and color matching screws for seam boards. The new outdoor space includes a “grill bumpout,” which serves as designated place for your grill to sit, as to not take valuables space on the deck, or interrupt the flow of traffic. As one of our stock boards, TimberTech Edge Prime+ Dark Cocoa offers the simple, traditional wood look you love without the rigorous maintenance of wood. Featuring subtle color blending and a rift- and quarter-sawn straight grain pattern, the lighter weight scalloped profile premium polymer capped composite boards deliver real wood aesthetics you’ll never have to sand, stain, or seal.

Black Ultralox Alta aluminum railing encloses the space, offering security and stability. Ultralox premium powder-coated railing systems provide a great option for decks, patios, and swimming pools with safe, low-maintenance living in mind. For a decorative detail and finished look, Dark Cocoa matching fascia wraps the deck, and it was also used as a feature board that “picture frames” the entire space.
