Before:
We first removed and hauled away the existing wood deck, before replacing the framing with free-stranding pressure-treated wood construction. The new frame includes one set of fifteen, 4′ wide steps. steps — handrail placed on the inside of the staircase. Instead of wood deck boards, the new deck was installed with TimberTech Edge Prime+ decking in Sea Salt Gray. All seam boards and feature boards were also installed using Sea Salt Gray for a clean, polished look TimberTech Edge Prime+ brings affordable, beautifully monochromatic decking to your outdoor living space with moderately varied hues. Featuring a subtle, straight grain pattern, the long-lasting, scalloped decking in this collection creates an authentic wood visual that is sure to impress.
A gate with standard hardware at the top of the stairs safely secures the main deck area, along with white vinyl Washington-style railing and round black aluminum balusters. We also installed 12′ of 5′ white vinyl privacy panel with topped with 1′ of black aluminum spindles. In communities where homes are close together, outdoor privacy is a coveted commodity, and privacy panels are a great addition for daytime entertaining or nighttime gatherings!
