Rocky Harbor Trex Deck in Pasadena: Makeover Monday

Homeowners in Pasadena, Maryland contacted Fence & Deck Connection looking for a bit of an outdoor makeover. Their existing wood deck was quite small, worn and weathered, and did not offer the outdoor experience the home was designed to have. Jake Wolod one of Fence & Deck Connection’s experienced Sales Consultants worked with our clients to transform their outdoor space into one that requires far less maintenance and allows for maximum enjoyment! Composite decking is resistant to warping, rotting, staining, or fading. Plus, its quality low-maintenance material makes it easy to clean with just soap and water!

Before:

We first removed the existing small wood deck and constructed a beautiful new 536 sq. ft. outdoor space using Trex composite decking with white vinyl Lincoln-style railing. This spacious new deck that wraps around two of the home’s sides was installed using Trex Enhance composite decking in the Rocky Harbor color. A contemporary changing neutral, Rocky Harbor adds sandy undertones to a rustic slate grey, featuring a low-maintenance, wood-like grain pattern. This hue belongs to Trex’s Enhance collection, which offers an authentic wood-grain appearance with the durability of composite and the affordability of wood. Enhance decking boards are scalloped, making them as lightweight as lumber—without the extra work. This long-lasting decking requires little upkeep and comes in seven colors.

Additionally, we added a complementing cocktail rail using Trex’s Biscayne board from the Lineage line. A light coastal brown, Biscayne captures the beauty of mangroves and sandy coasts, with its light honey hues and natural grain pattern. The Trex Lineage line is comprised of lighter, calming tones with subtle streaking, and is specifically engineered to to be cooler under the sun. As with all Trex decking, the Lineage line is from an innovative blend of 95% reclaimed wood and plastic film, and its low-maintenance material cleans easily with just soap and water!

White textured fascia wrap puts the finishing touch on the deck’s design, along with two sets of steps that lead to the back and side yard.
