This is our third project with Fence & Deck Connection: two sections of our fence, and now the deck. Our previous, excellent experiences with Fence & Deck are the reason we chose them for our deck replacement. The team came to our house and evaluated our deck options. They quickly and efficiently worked with us to narrow down options. Our deck was a bit tricky due to the home design - the deck would have to span a basement walkout with stairs - so getting the dimensions right and within code required extra precision. The folks at Fence & Deck walked us through everything that was necessary: permits, HOA approval, etc. The removal of the old deck was neat and efficient. The installation of the new deck was fast and professional. The crew took extra care to ensure all debris was removed. The new deck is beautiful! My wife and I now spend our weekend mornings on the deck, sipping coffee and bird watching! I highly recommend Fence & Deck Connection, and we'll continue to use them in the future.

From our first meeting with Tracy from F & D I immediately knew that they were the company I would do business with! They did what they said they would do, a beautifully done fence, with a reasonable price, with multiple after completion visits for quality checkups! I hired fence and deck connection to redo our deck: They added support to bring it up to modern code, replaced the old wood with Trex and also replaced all of the railings. The deck is incredibly sturdy and the railings don’t budge a millimeter. From start to finish, the company was excellent to work with. Ultra professional with a high attention to detail. I am very grateful I chose to go with them. The truck had left some ruts in the grass and one of the managers came by to reseed and fix the problem. They really went above and beyond from start to finish. Highly recommend!

I had contacted Fence and Deck Connection for an estimate to replace the split rail fence at the front of my property after a car had destroyed most of the one I had. This was a small job in comparison to what The Fence and Deck Connection would normally do. The appointment was setup with my schedule in mind and Tracy arrived on time, we discussed what needed to be accomplished, any special needs and the timeframe. After an agreement was made the project manager contacted me to go over the project and a estimated start date was agreed on. Prior to the start date I was contacted with a time of their arrival. The project manager and crew showed up early and after going over the tasks again the crew started to work. The whole project was completed professionally in a timely manner and debris cleaned up and removed. I was very happy with the entire Fence and Deck Connection staff and their communications from sales to administration staff and the installation crew.

You all did an awesome job from the moment I called to get an estimate through dealing with damage to the gate that occurred 2 days after the install. When I called about the damage issue I received positive information from everyone I spoke to and was assured it would be fixed as soon as possible. Francisco came out as soon as he could, saw the issue and stated it would be fixed and installed in a stronger manner which was actually suggested by the foreman the day of the install but he didn’t have an extra 2x4 to make it work. The repair is scheduled for tomorrow and I have no doubt it will be done correctly and in the time frame we were given. Excellent job!! Tracy came out initially to go over the plan with us in detail and was very hands on to provide us with exactly what we were looking for and the best design for our yard. The process of building the fence only took one day and the construction staff did an outstanding job both with the construction of the fence and their communication with us. They were in and out in one day and the design and quality is top notch. We love our fence so much we are also having Fence and Deck Connection build a deck for us as well.

I wanted to provide some brief feedback regarding our experience with you and the Fence Connection team. All of our interactions with you (both in-person and by phone and email) have been highly professional and without any sense of a "hard sales" approach to "close the business/deal". I believe you gave us a very fair and competitive price which included some "winter" discounts which we very much appreciate.
Prior to actually ordering the fence materials, Francisco Chacon, your Field Supervisor/Quality Manager came out to remeasure and "stake-out" the project to ensure an accurate project implementation, which we thought would occur in 4-6 weeks due to the special finish and upgraded components we ordered. However, within just over 2 weeks I received a call indicating that our order had arrived early. Consequently, your crew came out to install our new fence this past week - a couple of weeks ahead of our original schedule.
In spite of the scale of our project, your crew was able to complete the entire installation in one day. They were all very professional, clearly experienced and knowledgeable and were meticulous in maintaining and leaving a clean work-site with all debris and excess dirt removed when the job was completed. We are extremely pleased with the Florida Bronze finish, arched gates and optional "ball" caps which help to create an elegant and stately appearance around the backside of our 250 year-old historic home.
A couple of days after the job was completed, Francisco called and scheduled to come out the next day for a "quality-control" inspection of the project. Although we were already very satisfied and pleased with the work that had been performed and the quality of the fence materials, he actually did discover one small item that I had missed and have scheduled one of the crew to come out this week to quickly correct.

I was looking to get a privacy fence for my house I just bought. I wanted something that would look nice and last with no maintenance. I talked to my friend who had a fence installed a few years ago and he said he used Fence & Deck Connection. I'm very pleased with the fence installation. And thank you for your patience in getting this done. I guess it was almost two years since you first gave us the estimate until we actually pulled the trigger.
Juan and his crew were very efficient in their work. The only issue I had on site was the installation of one of the gates. They weren't sure which way to swing the gate, and decided, based on my wife's suggestion, to hinge it on the left side, which meant almost stepping into a small tree in order to open the gate. Once I arrived on scene, Juan showed me this, and I decided it just made more sense to hinge it on the right side. This meant the gentleman who built the gate had to now do it all over again. He did it efficiently and without complaint. I gave this gentleman some extra cash for doing this. I did have to meet the quality inspector here and go over two other minor things, that he corrected on site.
Overall, I am very satisfied with all aspects of using Fence and Deck Connection, and would highly recommend them to anyone in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of contracting with Fence & Deck Connection to replace the two aging decks on my house. From the initial contact with Tracy through the completion of the project I could not have asked for any better service. Tracy arrived on time, reviewed the current status of our decks, and declared that the foundations were solid and we would only need to do a resurface (large savings here!). Tracy went over options and suggestions for colors and patterns, he was most helpful and we selected Trex Transcend Tiki Torch with beige uppers and hammered bronze balusters. The contracting process was smooth and fast and shortly after signing the contract I received the CAD drawings from Carl Schmidt, I approved the drawings and Carl let us know he would get us scheduled, couple of days later Carl advised he could have a crew onsite the next Monday (this was especially quick since the expectation was set that it may be several weeks before a crew would be available). On Monday a driver arrived and offloaded all the materials and a little later the crew arrived to start the project. The crew was terrific, they kept us informed from the time they arrived and were careful to keep their workspace clean and tidy. The care they took made me reflect that it felt like they were installing their own deck, the workmanship was superb all the corners and seams matched to the millimeter. Once the new decks were complete the crew did a thorough job of policing the area for any stray materials. My neighbors can all see the new decks as they come into the neighborhood and a number have already complemented on good the new decks look. And the best part is now my grandchildren can play on the deck without fear of getting splinters! Thanks, the entire process was a pleasure and we are now enjoying our new decks every minute the weather allows!

It really looks nice.
There is one smallish thing I'd like addressed. The top spindles are crooked on one section of the fence - the last panel nearest the back gate/garage area.
It happens occasionally with the spindle tops because they have a bit of give to them, and I'm used to that and can just straighten them by pushing them.
This section doesn't move at all, though. So they are fixed in tightly and stuck at about 87 degree angle. It's noticeable because of the fence style.
I hope it's an easy fix. I'm usually not finicky about things like that but it stands out to me.

We would particularly like to thank Dave Dean for his procurement of siding that was needed to replace pieces damaged during the demolition of the old deck where the deck had been bolted into the siding. I simply asked him what we could do about it and where to find it and the next day when I looked out the siding had been replaced with the exact material. This type of problem solving, attention to overall detail and genuine interest in the customer's needs and satisfaction are traits you always hope to find, but seldom do.
Paul and I were very impressed with our construction team; Jose, Rigo and Richard. All the best laid plans are nothing if not carried out properly. Their skill and craftsmanship are impeccable. They are hardworking, conscientious and courteous. They thoroughly cleaned up every day and secured our yard before leaving. They were particularly careful during demolition not to compromise our neighbors' yards and property with debris. Our deck is beautiful because of their careful, skillful work.

Our project was exceptional. The resurfacing on the deck and enclosing the screened porch has been exceptional. We no longer have to clean the screen porch every 2 weeks as the windows keep the debris out.Additionally, we have been able to cool the space to a comfortable 70 degrees when the outside temperature is over 90 and heat it to 65 degrees when the outside temperature is 30. It has essentially added a room to the house. We held my daughters graduation party in the space in December of this year. Excellent! Thanks for the great install and end product!

I've missed our nearly daily e-mails (0│+), but I'm sure you've had plenty of other customers keeping you very busy.
My wife and I cannot thank you both, and the entire team at Fence & Deck Connection, for the incredibly nice room you built onto our home. We have thoroughly enjoyed it and have received so many compliments on the work. We have recommended FDC to several folks, but I guess as with most large investments - it may be a while before you hear from them.
We also want to thank Tracy for doing an OUTSTANDING job at what he does. That is to 'listen' to what the customers believe they want, offer great suggestions based on years of experience, and then establish a plan. Clearly what we thought we wanted in the beginning, was not what we really wanted in the end. And Tracy, utilizing his valuable skills, was able to discern what we really needed and wanted. In the end, after listening to Tracy's advice, we have exactly what we 'really' wanted. It's a beautiful and very functional addition to the home.
But it doesn't end there, because it was Carl who took the vision of Tracy and put it to paper. And, then, eventually into a beautiful reality. I don't think there would be any question that CARL SCHMIDT is the genius behind the construction part of every project. We sincerely appreciate Carl's patience and attention to detail. Not to mention his management skills with each phase of the construction.
Subsequent to both of you last visiting the house, a patio has been built under the addition and we had major work completed in the back yard. This work included building a retention wall, importing 400 tons of soil and some landscaping. Hopefully in another couple of months we'll some beautiful green grass on gentle slopes instead of steep cliffs. 0│+

It was a good experience meeting with you when you arrived for our appointment for a fence installation quote. You were on time, calling to reinforce the appointment time and letting me know that you would arrive as scheduled; a very good start. You are very knowledgeable about your company and craft, and a personable individual with which to carry on a conversation, easy to understand and informative of the customer's needs. You easily conveyed what I wanted into your sketch of the project. That might not seem like much, but some others that I had for quotes did not hear or see what I was proposing, so your understanding was valued. Added to that, I was most impressed that you took the time while you were here to redraw the sketch into a formalized view, along with a quote that was figured and presented right away. None of the other quotes did so the day of the visit, and one has yet to present a written quote to me, even after numerous prompts by email and voice-mail messages. Very professional, I was most impressed.
If your competence was not a b enough reason to lean towards your company, having your sales manager contact me to check on my satisfaction with your visit surely would have been the push if F&DC was tied with another competitor. It was not though. I recognized the quality and concern that your company presented, and was most happy to find that your quote itself was the lesser of others that I did not get the same "warm and fuzzy" feelings about. This was further exemplified by the contacts from your Fencing Project Manager, Bob Hannon, and his "introduction" to other I would possibly interact with on this project.
The installation actually began earlier than the two-to-three weeks projected, the crew did a great job, and the fence is gorgeous. It is everything that I envisioned. I was further impressed that your company had project inspector visit to check on the installation, and to inquire of any issues that I might have discovered... there were none! I would also like to say thank you for the "Thank You" card, as the little things add up. You folks are terrific at making the customer feel that they are more than a revenue source, and I await your return to check on the project yourself, once you can swing by and see what a fantastic job was accomplished by your valued crew.

I'd like to thank you for the great experience we had with your company. From the moment we reached out to Fence and Deck Connection we felt like we were being "taken care of." Where other businesses had made us feel like they were doing us a favor by entertaining our request for a quote, your team showed you valued BOTH of our time by confirming appointments ahead of time, showing up when expected and then doing follow-up's via phone and email.
