New Project Process

At Fence & Deck Connection, customer service is our number one priority. We want you to be happy with not only the craftsmanship of your newly finished outdoor living project, but also with the entire experience and project process. Once you schedule your complimentary design consultation with us, a project consultant will work with you to design exactly what you are looking for and provide a clear quoted estimate.

Once your project is contracted with Fence & Deck Connection, you will be protected by the best warranties in the industry. You will have a dedicated Project Manager, who oversees your project and ensures your property and privacy are respected. We will make sure every detail of your project is taken care of from securing any needed building permits, to the final cleanup, and we work hard to be as unobtrusive as possible during the entire construction phase.

Below you will find outlines of what you can expect during the production process at Fence & Deck Connection for your fencing and/or decking projects. Please note, a typical project process timeline may vary due to material availability, inclement weather, or permit, plat, or HOA approvals:




FENCE PRODUCTION PROCESS:

Pre-Installation

  1. A Project Manager is assigned to the customer and a personal email will be sent out to set up a site meeting.
  2. The fence area will be marked by your Project Consultant and approved by the homeowner.
  3. The Project Manager will visit the jobsite to review measurements and all project specifications as it relates to the contract/work order.
  4. If applicable, we may need to wait for HOA, Permit, Plat, Survey, Material Availability, or Special Order Material.
  5. Miss Utilities is notified. If there are private utilities on the property it is the responsibility of the homeowner to clearly mark those locations.
  6. The Scheduling Manager to call the customer to verify the install date. This date is weather permitting and subject to material availability.

Installation

  1. Removal and disposal of existing fence (if necessary).
  2. A yard sign posted in the front yard.
  3. Construction begins with your Project Manager visiting the jobsite during construction.
  4. Daily site cleanup.

Post-Installation

  1. Verify all post caps are installed, gates are working properly, the fence boards are nailed properly, and the posts are plumb.
  2. All debris is removed and cleaned from yard.
  3. The Project Manager visits the jobsite to make sure everything is complete to our customer's satisfaction.

DECK PRODUCTION PROCESS:

Pre-Installation

  1. A Project Manager is assigned to the customer's project. An introductory email is sent to let the customer know that a team member will be by to verify measurements and take pictures in preparation for the CAD drawings.
  2. CAD drawings are approved.
  3. If applicable, we may need to wait for HOA, Permit, Plat, Survey, Material Availability, or Special Order Material.
  4. Miss Utilities is notified. If there are private utilities on the property, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to clearly mark those locations.
  5. The Project Manager to email the customer to verify the install date. This date is contingent on weather, material availability, and permit approval.

Installation

  1. Removal and disposal of existing deck (if necessary).
  2. A yard sign posted in the front yard.
  3. Permit is posted outside and to remain there until all inspections are complete.
  4. Construction begins with your Project Manager visiting the jobsite during construction.
  5. Daily site cleanup during construction.
  6. Full yard cleanup after completion. Crew will use magnets to make sure they pick up all loose debris.

Post-Installation

  1. Quality control is done shortly after completion. If applicable, a punch list is created and any/all issues are taken care of.
  2. Project Manager to make sure everything is complete to our customer's satisfaction.
