Serving Our Community & Giving Back
Connection Cares - We Give Back to Community
One of the cornerstone principles of our success is giving back to the communities we serve. From the start of our business until today, tomorrow, and beyond, we understand the value of giving back and supporting local charities/causes. The satisfaction of giving back to the community that has supported our business is a tremendous feeling. Additionally, we hold our own Annual Holiday Drive to generate awareness on a given charity chosen to be the recipient that year. We empower our employees to help organize and run this event which has grown to become a community icon event every year. We truly do care here at Fence & Deck Connection and giving back will always be fundamental to our success!

Each employee received a Thanksgiving Turkey and dessert pie of their choosing to take home and share with their families. This has been a difficult year, to say the least, and we are grateful for each and every one of our team members.
The remaining turkeys and pies were donated to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank to help those families in need during the holidays.

Another Donation to AA County Food Bank
February 2020Fence & Deck Connection recently presented the Anne Arundel County Food Bank with another check. Our clients join us again in making this donation as it stems from our December Sales Promotion. We collected a percentage of our December residential sales profits and donated them to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank as a way of giving thanks & supporting those in need during the holidays.
The Anne Arundel County Food Bank provides much more than just food to help low-income families with meals and other basic needs year round. In addition to providing food to pantries and soup kitchens throughout Anne Arundel County, they also provide items of necessity to Baby Pantries, Senior Pantries, Pet Pantries, Backpack Programs at county schools, Clothing Banks and even Medical Programs to distribute medical equipment such as wheelchairs and scooters. The Food Bank also stepped up to support federal workers during the shutdown, including gas and grocery store gift cards.
We are excited to team up with the Anne Arundel County Food Bank to help people right here in our community. Built Upon A Dream 2019: The Board of Child Care
August 2019WMAR presents their 2019 Built Upon a Dream: The Board of Child Care. Built Upon a Dream matches professionals with a private, non-profit organization in need. Often times the work many small non-profits do can be boosted by having an adequate facility to serve their needs. Through Built Upon a Dream we hope to help makeover the physical space so these non-profits can better serve the needs of their community.
Fence & Deck Connection was happy to support exterior upgrades to the property by donating new rear perimeter fencing, closing in the back of the property to provide a safer space for the children on its campus. The new fencing blends seamlessly with existing fencing at The Board of Child Care.

May 2019We had an extremely generous Backpacks of Love drop off for The Blue Ribbon Project from Carroll Town Elementary School in Sykesville, MD. They brought in 30 filled and labeled backpacks + tons of extra items to fill up additional backpacks. The school's PTA put together a Community Service Project that involved grades K-5 and their parents in the Sykesville community to collect and gather items of need and clothing, then arranged to pack the backpacks according to the guidelines provided on The Blue Ribbon Project's website. The school located the Backpacks of Love volunteer opportunity through Points of Light, an international nonprofit dedicated to engaging more people and resources in solving serious social problems through voluntary service.
Thank you very much to all involved!

FDC Annual Holiday Drive
Fence & Deck Connection started it’s Annual Holiday Drive as a customer appreciation event and way of giving back to the community that has supported its business. The event has grown tremendously over the years and welcomes hundreds of visitors each year. The event is completely FREE and full of activities, food, crafts, and pics with Santa. The company chooses a local charity to be its recipient each year and asks the community to rally in support of that charity through monetary donations, toys, or more specific items relative to that given charity. This event is a huge success each and every year, in large part to the generosity of the community.
