Makeover Monday: A Townhome Redecking Project in Glen Burnie, MD

Home improvement projects may seem overwhelming, but Investing in a new deck doesn’t have to break the bank OR your back. Our Maryland fence and deck installation company can help determine if your deck’s posts and framework are structurally sound enough to support a redecking project over a total replacement. With a redecking project, homeowners can save money by keeping the existing structure while replacing the deck boards, stairs, and railing.

Looking to upgrade from wood decking to composite material, homeowners in Glen Burnie, Maryland reached out to Fence & Deck Connection to design their outdoor space. Joel Lewis worked with our clients in Anne Arundel County to modernize their outdoor space and design a deck that fits into the overall look and feel of the home. Take a look at the transformation using TimberTech composite decking below!

Before:

We first removed and hauled away the existing wooden deck, stairs, and railing. We then installed 112 sq. ft. of TimberTech Edge Prime+ composite decking in Sea Salt Gray, one of our in-stock boards currently 5% off for the May special! Timbertech Edge Prime+ brings affordable, beautifully monochromatic decking to your outdoor living space with moderately varied hues. Featuring a subtle, straight grain pattern, the long-lasting, scalloped decking in this collection creates an authentic wood visual that is sure to impress.

White vinyl Washington-style handrails with black aluminum balusters safely enclose the deck area. Support beams and posts are left unwrapped and expose our high-quality pressure treated wood material. However, the deck’s perimeter is wrapped with white textured vinyl. A set of 8 steps leads down to the backyard with a handrail placed inside the steps.

After:

Our clients were thrilled with the end result:

“The entire process was easy and exceeded my expectations. Everyone I had contact with was professional and did their jobs well. The finished product is beautiful. I can’t say enough good things about this company.”
– Katherine A. of Millersville, Maryland
