There are several reasons why Maryland customers come to Fence & Deck Connection opting to switch from a wood deck to a composite deck. Composite decks typically require less maintenance than wood decks, as they don’t need staining, sealing, or painting like wood. This definitely which can save time and money in the long run. Additionally, they are highly durable and resistant to rot, decay, and insects, which are common issues with wood. This can result in a longer lifespan for the deck.
From a design standpoint, composite decks come in a wide range of colors and textures, and they can maintain their appearance without fading or splintering over time. With all of these benefits in mind, Project Consultant Brian Hannon worked with our Crownsville, Maryland customers to redesign their outdoor space using one of the most trusted and beautiful materials — TimberTech composite decking.
We first removed the existing wood deck before installing an additional rear beam and 511 sq. ft. of TimberTech Edge Prime+ decking using hidden fasteners. The switch from dark brown wood to the light and airy Sea Salt Grey helps to brighten up the outdoor space. TimberTech Edge Prime+ brings affordable, beautifully monochromatic decking to your outdoor living space with moderately varied hues. Featuring a subtle, straight grain pattern, the long-lasting, scalloped decking in this collection creates an authentic wood visual that is sure to impress.
White vinyl Washington-style railing with black round aluminum spindles encloses the new decking area and a gate at the top of the nine step staircase secures the deck space – great for keeping small children or pets safely contained. For a lovely nighttime ambiance, our customers chose a lighting package that includes six white Nebula eyeball lights along the deck’s perimeter and five white pyxis riser lights on the stairs.
We were thrilled to see how the deck turned out, and we’re happy our customers were too:
“All employees were professional and highly skilled. We are very happy with the entire project. Our deck is beautiful and we will enjoy it for many years to come.”
