Fence & Deck Connection Receives Anne Arundel County Food Bank’s Community Partnership Award

Since our humble beginnings, Fence & Deck Connection has been a proud supporter of the Anne Arundel County Food Bank (AACFB). One of the cornerstone principles of our success is giving back to the communities we serve. From the start of our business until today, tomorrow, and beyond, we understand the value of giving back and supporting local charities/causes. In the last few years, we have donated a percentage of our November and December residential sales profits to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank as a way of giving thanks and supporting those in need during the holidays.

Our commitment to giving back to local families in need doesn’t end when the holiday season is over, however. On May 22nd, we were honored to be a “Gold Sponsor” and attend the third annual Feeding Hope fundraiser at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville. The event, presented by the Dietrich Family Foundation, benefited the food bank’s work to provide fresh, nutritious food to neighbors in need across Anne Arundel County. In addition to our sponsorship, Fence & Deck Connection was honored to receive the Community Partnership Award, which spotlights businesses and service groups that have gone above and beyond to support the mission of the Anne Arundel County Food Bank.

In the last 5 years, our Anne Arundel County-based company has provided more than $42,000 in unrestricted donations to our local food bank. Owner and Founder, Jim Rubush and Jeff Wall, VP Sales and Marketing/Managing Partner accepted the award on behalf of the entire Fence & Deck Connection team. Other Fence & Deck Connection employees also attended the event to show our support for such a great cause.

More than 200 food bank supporters gathered at Davidsonville’s Homestead Gardens to raise funds to help our neighbors in need fill their tables with fresh, nutritious food. Guests enjoyed small bites and tastes from a variety of local restaurants and food shops, sampled wines, brews, and cocktails, and danced along to live music from Red Betty & The Ruckus. It couldn’t have been a more perfect spring evening, surrounded by the generosity of so many!
