Many homeowners underestimate the maintenance a wooden deck needs, and never consider replacing a wood deck with something like composite, which requires far less maintenance. When an older deck becomes unsafe or unsightly, composite decking becomes the easy choice for a deck that is barefoot-friendly, attractive, and durable for the long haul.
Jake Wolod, one of Fence & Deck Connection’s extremely knowledgeable Sales Consultants, worked with homeowners in Millersville to transform an old, rotting wooden deck into a stunning new outdoor space that will last for decades. During an initial onsite estimate appointment, our Sales team reviews the scope of the project, discusses all plans, designs, and material options, then offers an estimated project timeline and cost estimate. Below, you’ll see the original deck before the renovation.
Before:
We first demoed the existing decks before constructing new expertly crafted pressure-treated wood framing. The new deck frames support 336 sq. ft. of TimberTech decking in the Dark Roast hue. With a duo-tone matte finish, Dark Roast boards provide a beautiful blend of natural, traditional beauty with an elegant modern twist. Unlike other deck board in the TimberTech collection, EasyClean Reserve Dark Roast composite decking has been produced with an antique brushed finish bringing out a deeper, more visible grain — ideal for homeowners searching for a deck board that offers an organic appearance.
White vinyl Washington-style railing and round black aluminum balusters enclose the new space. White vinyl textured fascia wraps the deck for a pristine finish, and white privacy lattice skirts the under deck with one access gate. Additional white lattice skirting closes off the small gap between the top and bottom deck. Four steps lead down to the concrete patio and beautiful backyard area.
After:
Once the project was completed, our team does a final walkthrough to ensure our clients are 100% satisfied with their new fence or deck. We absolutely love the look of this new TimberTech deck and our clients are too!
“My expectations were far exceeded by all involved in my deck project. From my Sales Rep to my Project Manager and especially by the production Crew! Everyone worked exceedingly hard to complete the project within the time I requested. I have never experienced a construction crew who worked long days with so little interruption! Each member of that crew was professional, focused, and performed their jobs efficiently. In addition, during both demolition and construction they were considerate of my concerns, and respectful of my property. I have been recommending Fence & Deck Connection to those who I know may be considering similar projects. Thank you for a job beautifully completed.”
