Baltimore townhome owners are increasingly making the switch from wood to composite decking, and it’s easy to see why. With Maryland’s fluctuating weather, from hot summers to harsh winters, traditional wood decks can quickly deteriorate, requiring frequent maintenance, staining, and repairs. Composite decking offers a more durable, low-maintenance solution, standing up to the elements without warping, splintering, or fading. For many townhome owners, the decision to upgrade to composite means spending less time on upkeep and more time enjoying their outdoor spaces.
Project Consultant Steve Nehus and the rest of the Fence & Deck Connection team helped Baltimore-area homeowners transform their weathered outdoor space using long-lasting Trex composite decking!
Before:

We first demoed and removed the existing framing and decking before constructing a new 20′ x 10′ townhome deck. Trex Select Pebble Gray composite decking was installed on the expertly crafted pressure treated wood frame. White Washington-style railing with black aluminum balusters safely encloses the second story outdoor space, and the deck was wrapped with white PVC fascia for a clean, finished look.
After:

Is your once-beautiful wood deck starting to show signs of age, with splinters, fading, and constant maintenance demands? It might be time to consider a change. Composite decking offers a modern, durable, and low-maintenance alternative that not only enhances the look of your outdoor space but also saves you time and money in the long run. Contact Fence and Deck Connection and say goodbye to endless upkeep and hello to a deck that’s as beautiful as it is practical!
