Redesigning your deck can be an exciting way to refresh your outdoor living space, but if you’ve been dealing with the constant upkeep and maintenance of a traditional wood deck, it might be time for a change. As homeowners in Maryland and Delaware look for more durable, low-maintenance, and sustainable options, composite decking is becoming an increasingly popular choice. Whether you’re tired of sanding, staining, and replacing warped or splintered boards, or simply want a longer-lasting solution that keeps its beauty year after year, switching to composite decking could be the perfect solution.
With the help of Project Consultant Andrew Vidulich, our customers in Odenton decided it was time to upgrade their spacious backyard deck with TimberTech composite materials. With its realistic wood grain designs, TimberTech decking offers the beauty of natural wood but with all the advantages of a modern, low-maintenance alternative, making it a wise choice for anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor living space.
Before:

We first demoed and hauled away the existing deck before installing a new open underdeck frame complete with 454 sq. ft. of TimberTech Terrain+ decking in the Natural White Oak hue. TimberTech’s Natural White hue is designed to closely resemble natural hardwood while providing enhanced durability and minimal maintenance. Natural White Oak is a beautiful light brown with soft, muted golden tones, giving it the elegant and classic look of real oak wood. Natural White Oak is often selected for its timeless, natural look, making it perfect for homeowners who want the beauty of real wood without the maintenance challenges. It’s especially popular for contemporary and traditional outdoor spaces.
White vinyl fascia wraps adorn the entire deck’s perimeter, and bronze Victorian-style Ultralox aluminum railings enclose the space. This deck’s lighting package included 5 mini Vega lights on the posts, and 5 black Corona riser lights on the steps — 3 on one set of steps and 2 on the other.
The new space is a clean, open area with less obstacles for entertaining and relaxing!
