Makeover Monday: Townhome Deck in Columbia, Maryland

For most of our “Makeover Monday” posts, we feature larger, more expansive decking projects. However, Fence & Deck Connection is proud to install a wide variety of decking solutions for our customers throughout the state of Maryland, whether they’re 100 sq. ft. or 600 sq. ft, or composite or pressure treated wood.

Many townhome owners require the installation of a new or replacement deck based on HOA regulations. Our knowledgeable Project Consultants are able to work with homeowners to design a deck that fits within those rules and regulations, while adding design elements and accessories that personalize the outdoor space. For our customers in Howard County, Project Andrew Vidulich helped to replace their outdated wooden deck with a more modern design using more more maintenance-free composite material.

Before:

Our skilled crews demoed and hauled away the existing deck, and replaced it with 192 sq. ft. of TimberTech decking using a free standing structure and hidden fasteners. The color choice, Antique Leather, is a beautiful brown color in a bright golden tone. The color is variegated as there are streaks of lighter and darker brown on the board. Each board has a varying rich and bright brown design style so there won’t be a uniform look. Black composite railing with black aluminum balusters offer a nice contrasting accent to the new outdoor space, and a continuous matching top rail and matching fascia completes the new look.
